Vintage Very sheer Victoria’s Secret short peignoir/Robe

Design is reminiscent of the 70’s

This robe is very sexy sheer and vintage.

The tag has been cut but not removed.

100% polyester

The main color is a purple with various rose, gold’s and other shades that make the garment very beautiful. It is very much a 70’s design.

The fabric is so sheer and the design so faint at certain angles it appears to disappear. The best view of the design is at the cuffs and the lapel as the fabric is doubled in these places.

 The robe has a ribbon inner tie to hold it fast as well as an outer sash/belt to tie at the waist.

Measurements;

 Arm sleeve shoulder seam to arm sleeve shoulder seam across back  28 inches 71 cm

Underarm to underarm measures 58 inches 147.5cm

At this measurement the front barely meets to close

The inner tie is at the empire waist or the underarm and when tied fully closed the empire waist or underarm measures 34 inches 86.5 cm

So allowing for some overlap of the robe sides say 8 inches 20 cm you could tie the inner tie to have a closure of 34 inches 86.5cm to 50 inches 127 cm and still have an 8 inch 20cm overlap

The garment is cut fairly straight and the waist, hips and sweep would all depend on where your tied the inner tie. The outer belt or sash is 2 inches 5cm wide and made of doubled material and is 79 inches 200.5cm long. More than enough to tie even at the largest of 58 inches 147.5 cm.

There are 2 fabric loops at either side for the belt to fit through.

The length from nape of neck to center back is 36 inches 91.5cm

Other than the cut but not removed Victoria’s Secret tag I see no flaws in this wonderful vintage robe and would say it is in like new condition.
