Within the book we learn a bit of Walt Disney but more of techniques of animation and many examples are provided. There are many previously unpublished drawings, paintings and photos.

This book does have a few problems the major is that the binding has separated from the pages. This could be repaired by someone more knowledgeable than I but for those of us less able and not so interested in the books value as a collector we could just glue it back in. The more initiated would insure that the binding was perfectly assembled to show no sign it had ever been loose.

There are also a few pages missing from the coversheets as once you open the book you come directly to the table of contents. I would assume there would have been something about the publisher before the table of contents. Though I could be wrong. Also the book ends abruptly without any words of the author, which is unusual, but the book is in very good condition other than these flaws I mention.

 I believe the drawings and photos and paintings depicted in the book and how they were done is a value unto itself. Those who would use the images for a collage, framing or other scrap booking will find them irresistible.

The early drawings with markups would be of interest to a collector but the actual cartoons we are familiar with would be of interest to scrap bookers and the interesting knowledge of how the animation was accomplished would be of interest to those who want to expand their knowledge.

Though it has its faults this is a wonderful book for young and old alike and if you are a collector it would not be impossible to fix the flaws it has other than any missing pages and I do not know what they might be.

Disney fans and scrap bookers this is the right book at the right price.
